Senator Uche Chukwumerije passes on at 75!

The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Education,  Senator Uche Chukwumerije is dead! He passed on Sunday evening after a prolonged  battle with lung cancer.

The Senate announced the death of Senator who reportedly passed on at the Turkish Hospital, Abuja

Tributes have continued to pour in for the statesman who has been described as one of the brightest minds in the Senate with alot of dedication and focus, integrity and discipline, and an unbroken love for the highest ideals of the society.

Senate President David Mark in a statement said,Chukwumerije radiated intelligence, exemplary conduct in both public and private life.  He was a team player, who brought meaning to hard work . He was focused and determined to make positive difference.
Chukwumerije was a shinning light and a pathfinder. We shall miss him. No doubt he left a vacuum that will too hard to fill. He was a consummate and passionate Nigerian, who believed in the sanctity of the peace and unity of the nation.”

Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu reacting to Chukwumerije's passing also had a few words describing him as a fearless politician, who fought for the interest of the common man and his people.

He  described him as “a patriot, who gave his best towards the peace, unity and development of Nigeria”.

Chukumerije's  family have requested for prayers and support as burial arrangements would be announced in due course.

Korede Bello Performing At Harvesters International Christian Centre Met With Backlash!

It was Easter weekend and the Harvesters International Christian Centre thought the best tune to round up the Lent season on easter Sunday was Korede Bello's #GODwin.

  The young artist stepped up on stage to sing his mega hit tune and he was accompanied by choristers of the church.

However, a US based pastor, Pastor Olusola Fabunmi questions if secular musicians should be allowed to perform at gospel concerts??

He says...

"Korede Bello is a young man I love personally, and have nothing against him. But it’s written here, that when we chose the way of the world, we have clearly chosen our paths; becoming an enemy of God. Please, there must be a clearly defined boundaries of who sings, and /or ministers in churches. Some of the questions that come to mind are; is he born again? Sanctified with the spirit of God and baptized in the Holy Spirit?

Giuliana rancic reveals her AntiCancer Medications are responsible for her thin frame

Giuliana has been faced with a lot of backlash for being so thin.Yes Thin is the word,but what we all dint know was that she had other struggles.

 Giuliana and Husband Bill Rancic have had issues with fertility with Giuliana diagnosed with Cancer in 2011 and having to go through with a Mastectomy,the couple had a son through a surrogate but were recently dealt a blow when the surrogate suffered a miscarriage with the last embryo the couple had freezed.

"It was painful," Rancic told people magazine. "We were so optimistic with this last embryo. We thought, 'This is definitely going to work. This is our last shot.'"

Giuliana chose to freeze four embryos when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011. The first resulted in a successful pregnancy; Bill and Giuliana's son Duke was born via surrogate in 2012. Two more eggs were implanted in a surrogate in 2014, but she miscarried. Rancic calls this latest loss "the toughest blow."

"We’re open to everything," Rancic says of her next move. "I think adoption is a beautiful gift you're giving each other. And it's funny, I'm even more open to [adoption] than I was before. Because I think to myself, 'I love Duke so much, if I couldn't take care of him, I hope there would be someone else who would love him.'"

Giuliana also revealed her thin frame can be attributed to  the cancer-suppressing medication she is still taking.

Rancic admits she's very aware of the recent criticism of her weight and, to an extent, she agrees. While she says that criticism and speculation about an eating disorder is "a horrible way to approach it," she also sees that she's "really thin."

"It's really hurtful," Rancic says. "I'm sorry that some people think I'm 'disgustingly skinny,' as they put it, but there's nothing I can do. I'm lucky that I even have the type of cancer that reacts to the medicine."
