Actress Fathia Balogun reveals why she dropped Husband Balogun's name;Says she was unlucky in Marriage..

Sometime last week popular actress Fathia Balogun deleted all images from her Instagram Page and also dropped her Ex's Surname, (a name she has gained prominence with) reverting to her maiden name Williams.

This fueled speculations that all was not well with the movie star. 

In a recent  interview with Broadway TV, she dispelled rumors going around that her account was hacked and gave reasons for her actions say she signed  on to a new management and she’s trying to re brand herself. The reason for taking down all her pictures is part of the re-branding process.

Fathia Williams also clears the air on why she dropped 'Balogun' from her name,sharing her experience with marriage and that her's dint work out because she was simply unlucky..

26 Nigerian women aged 14 -18 found dead on Spanish warship!

The remains of 26 Nigerian women believed to be migrants have been recovered from a Spanish warship in the Italian coast city of Salerno.

A report by the British Broadcasting Corporation on Monday said a Spanish warship, Cantabria, which docked in the city, was found to be carrying 375 rescued migrants and the dead women.

According to the report, 23 of the dead women were on a rubber boat with 64 other people.

It also quoted Italian media report that the women’s bodies were kept in a refrigerated section of the warship. Most of them were between the ages of 14 and 18.

UNHCR spokesman, Marco Rotunno, said the 26 dead were involved in a shipwreck off Libya.

The Johnsons Actor Charles Inojie reveals that he proposed to his wife over the phone!

Actor Charles Inojie made a name for himself when he became a comic actor. As much as he has had so many fond memories, the actor told Saturday Beats he would likely not forget in a hurry how he proposed to his wife.

He said that even though he wanted a conventional proposal, it was not possible because of the circumstances that he was faced with at the time.

He said, “My wife and I had been friends and lovers for a while before we got married. When I approached my wife that I was in love with her, she told me that I was not serious because she thought that I was joking. I experienced that for a while but with persistence, she accepted to date me.

“There is something about destiny and there are some people that you would meet and you would know that they are meant to be more than friends. Incidentally, the day I proposed to my wife, she was not even in the country. I called her to ask when she would return to Nigeria and she began to query me. She eventually told me that she would be away for about three months and I began to grumble at that point. She was eager to know what was on my mind because she asked if the issue was very serious. I told her that even though it was quite urgent, I would be patient.

But he said his wife insisted on knowing why he was calling her.

“She ended the call and later that evening, she called back asking me what the problem was because she had been restless all day ever since I made the call. 

She demanded that I tell her what was on my mind. After dragging the issue for a few days, I had to open up because I discovered that it was going to lead to an unnecessary quarrel.

 I had to propose to her on the telephone and immediately I did that, she started crying, then she said yes. That was it. I would have loved it to be more conventional but the circumstances did not allow it. But I am glad it went well.”

The actress who has since got her groove back and returned to grace the silver screen told Saturday Beats how her husband reacts when another man kisses her on set. She said,

“I am a professional so I don’t feel anyhow when I see him kiss another woman but as for me, I really don’t like doing things like that in a movie. But when I don’t do it well, my husband criticises me. He would tell me that I have to make it real. He would say that if I don’t do it well, it would not be real enough.

“Whenever my husband is working on any project, he shows me the script first because I would analyse it thoroughly and objectively. I am always honest with my opinion about his work because no one can tell him the truth like I would. He knows that I would not be biased.”

Bukky further spoke on how she has been able to handle the teeming female fans under her husband’s spell based on his acting prowess.

“We both don’t get jealous when we are with our fans or admirers because it is something we had been experiencing even before we got married.  Of course they would not take him home after they are done talking with him or taking pictures with him. 

Speaking on the snatching allegations she said..

“People do not know the true story of an event but they just conclude and pass judgment. It was not easy for me back then because it was my most challenging moment in life. I am a very quiet person and it was a very gloomy period of my life but I thank God it is over. It was just the grace of God that kept me through that period and I would not want to comment further on that issue,” she said.

The Journal of Physiology Tips For Pregnant Women - In Late Pregnancy, Sleep On Your Side, Not Your Back!

A pregnant mother sleeping on her back during late pregnancy may cause problems for the fetus, according to new research published in The Journal of Physiology.

 This is the first study to monitor unborn babies overnight and at the same time record the mother’s position during sleep.

The sleep position of women in late pregnancy has been shown to be related to an increased risk of late stillbirth (after 28 weeks gestation).

Researchers at the University of Auckland investigated sleep position of pregnant women by setting up an infrared video camera to record their position as they slept. 

They also continuously recorded the heart rate of the women and fetus overnight using an ECG device.

When the mother slept on her back, the fetus was less active. Fetal activity is one measure of its wellbeing. 

Fetuses were only in an active state when the mother was on her left or right side. When the mother changed position during sleep, for example from her left side to sleeping on her back, the baby quickly changed activity state and became quiet or still.

This research involved 30 pregnant women at 34-38 weeks gestation and all of them were healthy with healthy babies. 

The researchers are now investigating pregnancies where the fetus is not growing properly or the mother has reported decreased fetal movements, as both situations have been associated with an increased risk of stillbirth.

Peter Stone, one of the lead investigators on the study said,

‘In the situation where the baby may not be healthy, such as those with poor growth, the baby may not tolerate the effect of maternal back sleeping. 

We are suggesting that there is now sufficient evidence to recommend mothers avoid sleeping on their back in late pregnancy, not only because of the epidemiological data but also because we have shown it has a clear effect on the baby.’

Men and women are not equal! - Tiwa Savage

As you would expect,Singer Tiwa Savage's statement which she made as she appeared on a radio show recently has been heating up social media with so many people disagreeing with her opinion. 

Speaking with Toolzo on the Midday show on The Beat 99.9FM recently the Mavin star shared her views on gender equality..

  

 "I’m not going to say I’m completely comfortable with it but it is what it is. You have to deal with it. If it means you have to work 10 times harder than your male counterparts, don’t complain about it, do what you have to do. We all celebrate people like Oprah and Mo Abudu and we don’t actually realise what they have to do to get to that point. They probably had to do 20 times than their male counterparts. Once you get there, you don’t complain about how you get there. So, whatever it is you have to do as a female, you just have to get it done. 

I know I’ll (ruffle) a few feathers but I also don’t think men and women are equal, I don’t think that’s how God created us that way… especially in the household anyway. So I think as females when we realise that yeah we can be strong in our career, but when we are home we have to realise that the man is the head of the house". She said..
