South African woman Miekie van Tonder shares her bed with a Lion!cuddles her BIg Cat friend every night!

A South African woman, has  raised a cub like her own baby after it became separated from her mother.

Miekie van Tonder raised Elsa raised by hand in her home and even let her sleep in her bed so she could monitor her through the night.

As she grew older, Elsa moved to an enclosure which she shared with two, slightly bigger, male lion cubs.

But at eight months old, she had never interacted with lions before and wasn't used to their rough play but joined in and injured her neck.
She underwent a two hour operation which appeared to fix the problem but later started having problems with her balance.

Her condition meant she had to go to a conventional hospital in Roodepoort, near Johannesburg, for an MRI scan before undergoing further surgery to fix the problem.
Such was Ms van Tonder's dedication, her surrogate mother dressed up in a lion suit and collected money at the traffic lights of her home city Bloemfontein to fund the treatment.
Their bond remains a tight one with Ms van Tonder insisting she has nothing to fear by cuddling up to the giant cat at night.

Former Nigerian vice president,Atiku Abubakar's daughter,Fatima has been sworn as the new health commissioner in her native Adamawa state.

What is really admirable,and worthy of emulation for our government officials is that,Fatima has forfeited her salary and allowances in order to propel it to revitalize the state’s health sector.

Fatima, a medical consultant, said she was giving up her benefits as the state's health sector had numerous challenges besieging it.

 Fatima in a statement said..

  

"I am very grateful to the governor for appointing me to head the health ministry,”  

The ministry is the most challenging because of the insurgency problem that had caused some damage to the health system in the state.

“For this reason, I shall be donating my salary and allowances for use in enhancing the delivery of healthcare service in the state,’’

It took me a while to understand why a part of modelling had to be called glamour modelling.

Anyways Jodie Marsh recently got married, in a secret wedding of course! and ditched the normal traditional wedding gown for a custom made white jumpsuit,as she walked down the aisle with husband James Placido whom she has said is her soulmate in a small private ceremony in Barbados. 

The 36-year-old shocked her fans when she revealed she had tied the knot after keeping her romance a secret.

 Jodie who also previously embraced body building representing England at international competitions opted for an unusual choice of wedding attire a jumpsuit.

A Jumpsuit is  highly unusual for a wedding but I guess everyone wants their "BIG DAY" different and special!

Shocking! Journalists Alison Parker and Adam Ward shot dead live on TV in Virginia USA

In a sad and shocking tale a Journalist and photographer/cameraman were shot dead by a gunman as they carried on a live interview in Virginia this morning.

The CBS news station WDBJ has confirmed that reporter Alison Parker and cameraman Adam Ward have both died died while Vicki Gardner a local chamber of commerce director whom they were interviewing was shot in the back and has had to be wheeled in for emergency surgery.
   
Video of the broadcast which is too gruesome to put on here shows Parker and  Gardner scream and duck after gunshots ring out and the cameraman falls to the floor but still manages to capture the attacker as his camera was still filming. Ward was 27 while Parker was only 24.  Police authorities are said to be on a man hunt for the gunman.

Sad!  

UPDATE;

The Gunman has now been identified as a former employee/news Anchor of the TV station  Vester Lee Flanagan,  known on air as Bryce Williams. he live tweeted  the attack which he said he carried out due to being faced with racism at work,being reported to HR by both Alison and Ward and then being sacked and replaced by Alison. 

 Williams had also previously filled a racism suit against  a TV station he worked with before WDBJ

I dont like Drake! No scratch that! I DO NOT LIKE DRAKE!,I am not a fan I doubt I would ever be! I think Drake just goes and spoils things especially with the women.He just goes in there grabs and spoils things and then voila  goes off to the next available lady. British Mega band One Direction set to split..

It all began 5 years ago on British music reality show Xfactor they all dint make it but they got put together and bam! a worldwide phenomenon was born One direction went on to world domination rowing to become one of Britain's best selling bands of all time! But that might all be ending soon as the  5 piece band which became a four piece( Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson) after band mate Zayn Malik left is set to take a split of close to a year ! The Split would take effect after their final show at Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield on October 31 some work commitments in February and officially go seperate directions(Cue the Irony!) in March 2016.

They are reportedly splitting to focus on solo projects and will not tour their upcoming fifth album.

They say it has nothing to do with Zayn leaving but would we be wrong if we thought so?  Goodluck with your new Directions boys!
