Giuliana has been faced with a lot of backlash for being so thin.Yes Thin is the word,but what we all dint know was that she had other struggles.
Giuliana and Husband Bill Rancic have had issues with fertility with Giuliana diagnosed with Cancer in 2011 and having to go through with a Mastectomy,the couple had a son through a surrogate but were recently dealt a blow when the surrogate suffered a miscarriage with the last embryo the couple had freezed.
"It was painful," Rancic told people magazine. "We were so optimistic with this last embryo. We thought, 'This is definitely going to work. This is our last shot.'"
Giuliana chose to freeze four embryos when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011. The first resulted in a successful pregnancy; Bill and Giuliana's son Duke was born via surrogate in 2012. Two more eggs were implanted in a surrogate in 2014, but she miscarried. Rancic calls this latest loss "the toughest blow."
"We’re open to everything," Rancic says of her next move. "I think adoption is a beautiful gift you're giving each other. And it's funny, I'm even more open to [adoption] than I was before. Because I think to myself, 'I love Duke so much, if I couldn't take care of him, I hope there would be someone else who would love him.'"
Giuliana also revealed her thin frame can be attributed to the cancer-suppressing medication she is still taking.
Rancic admits she's very aware of the recent criticism of her weight and, to an extent, she agrees. While she says that criticism and speculation about an eating disorder is "a horrible way to approach it," she also sees that she's "really thin."
"It's really hurtful," Rancic says. "I'm sorry that some people think I'm 'disgustingly skinny,' as they put it, but there's nothing I can do. I'm lucky that I even have the type of cancer that reacts to the medicine."
