Shalliespurplebeehive exclusive! 5 Nigerian Rappers we are allowing to slip away!

What a time to talk about Nigerian Rap! Rap in Nigeria at the Mo' cant say much for it.

I mean it was 5 years a few weeks ago since Dagrin died and he's sorely missed because he was ORIGINAL! On another lane entirely, his rap was totally relatable, with unimaginable lyrics you could never imagine!

He indeed crafted carefully like a true wordsmith.

No disrespect to any Nigerian rapper, but lately the Nigerian music rap scene is missing so much bite and the few rappers who are trying to be original we are letting them slip away

Lets have a look at 5 of them shall we??

1)ModeNine(Mode9)

Mode9 hands down is one of the baddest lyricists on the Nigerian scene.
He has however refused to do anything commercial and has remained strictly hardcore rap.
it does seem like we all are just letting his talent slip away from us.

We should appreciate Mode's quality BUT! even the lyricist on the roll award that had kinda become his birth right began to slip with young un's Vector and the likes now competing with him  for the crown.

Not sure if Mode has had any new material in years, but we sure miss this mode9

2)Overdose(OD)

Where the hell is OD?? he just seemed to vanish off the scene..we sure cant say we arent letting Od's talent slip away..

I made MI popular! -Kelly Handsome..

Dude just simply loves controversy see what he told PUNCH recently..

“A lot of people take things too personal at times, especially MI and Baba Keke. They took my music too personal. If I did not beef MI, he would not be where he is today. I am not the one that made him, he has Chocolate City and Audu Maikori to thank for that and they are my friends but at the end of the day, it was a marketing strategy for them. I put him at a point where people could listen and appreciate his music. I am looking forward to us working together.

“MI is at the top of his game; he has several endorsement deals. Because of the issues I had, the endorsement I was supposed to have with Globacom was cancelled and I don’t blame the company.
